Filters
Diamond Shape
The shape refers to the outline of the diamond when viewed from above.
Round is the most popular and sparkly. Princess and Cushion are modern favorites. Oval and Marquise can make fingers appear longer.
Price Range
Set your budget range to filter diamonds within your price comfort zone.
Diamond prices vary based on the 4Cs, with cut and carat having the biggest impact.
Tip: Use our "Best Value" filter to find diamonds with the best price-to-quality ratio!
Carat Weight
Carat is the weight of the diamond. One carat = 0.2 grams.
Prices jump at popular sizes (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 ct). A 0.9ct diamond can cost significantly less than 1.0ct while looking nearly identical.
Tip: Buy just under popular weights (0.9 instead of 1.0) for better value!
Color Grade
Diamond color is graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow).
D-F: Colorless, most valuable
G-J: Near-colorless, great value
K+: Faint yellow, budget-friendly
Tip: G-H colors look colorless in a setting and save money.
Clarity Grade
Clarity measures internal flaws (inclusions) and surface blemishes.
FL-IF: Flawless, extremely rare
VVS1-VVS2: Very hard to see inclusions
VS1-VS2: Minor inclusions, great value
SI1-SI2: Noticeable under 10x, often eye-clean
Tip: VS2 or SI1 often looks identical to FL to the naked eye.
Cut Grade
Cut is the most important factor for sparkle and brilliance.
Excellent: Maximum fire and brilliance
Very Good: Outstanding light performance
Good: Good sparkle, more affordable
Tip: Never compromise on cut—it's what makes a diamond sparkle!
Fluorescence
Fluorescence is a glow some diamonds emit under UV light.
None: No effect, most valued
Faint/Medium: Usually not visible in normal lighting
Strong: May appear hazy or milky
Tip: Medium blue fluorescence can make I-K colors appear whiter and costs less!
Polish Grade
Polish refers to how smooth the diamond's surface is after cutting.
Excellent and Very Good polish ensure maximum light reflection. Lower grades may have microscopic imperfections that slightly reduce brilliance.
Tip: Stick with Excellent or Very Good for best results.
Symmetry Grade
Symmetry measures how precisely aligned the diamond's facets are.
Perfect symmetry ensures light reflects evenly, maximizing sparkle. Poor symmetry can cause light to leak, reducing brilliance.
Tip: For round diamonds, prioritize Excellent symmetry.
Certificate Lab
Certificates verify a diamond's quality grades from an independent lab.
GIA: Gold standard, most consistent grading
AGS: Excellent, especially for cut quality
IGI: Good for lab-grown diamonds
GCAL: Reliable with light performance data
Tip: Always buy GIA or AGS certified for natural diamonds.

What is the Efficiency Frontier?
The efficiency frontier is a concept from economics that we've applied to diamond shopping. It represents the set of diamonds that offer the best price for their carat weight.
Diamonds on the frontier (marked in teal) are optimal choices - you cannot find a diamond of the same size for less money. These represent the best deals in the current market.
Diamonds with ideal cut (marked in gold) meet the strictest proportions for maximum brilliance. When a diamond is both on the frontier AND ideal cut, you've found an exceptional value.
